High School students are encouraged to take advantage of at least one opportunity to grow deeper in their faith in addition to our youth group programming.
High School Sunday School
High School Sunday School meets in the High School Youth Room during the Sunday School hour (9:45-10:45 am).
Faith on Fire – Lessons in Romans (High School Class): This class guides you through the Big Ideas in this first-century letter to Christians trying their best to live godly lives in an ungodly culture. (Sound familiar?) From the not-so-savory picture the apostle paints of humankind in the opening chapters. . .through his celebration of grace and acceptance in the middle chapters. . .to his tightly reasoned argument that love should fuel a Christian's decisions and relationships--here are topics made to order for teenagers living in today’s world. This class meets in the HS youth room downstairs and is led by Craig Madsen, Jay Smith and Roger Kurtz.
HS Bible Study: Begins Wednesday, September 14
Wednesday Evenings from 7:15-8:30 pm in High School Youth Room
Do you feel like: I don't pray enough, I don't read my Bible enough, I don't share my faith enough, I don't love God enough, I'm not committed enough, I'm not spiritual enough. Then this discussion group is for you. We will be discussing the book "Messy Spirituality". This book focuses on the silent majority of us that feel like we just don't do the "Christian Thing" well. The author dares to suggest that imperfection and messiness are, in fact, the earmarks of true Christianity; that real Christianity is messy, erratic, lopsided . . . and gloriously liberating. Come join Mark and Renee Dowell to discuss "Messy Spirituality".
