Endowment Committee

Endowment Logo

The Endowment Fund was established by Christ the King in 1993 to better support the mission(s) of our church and other community programs.  By definition, the Endowment Fund may be used to aid and support (1) new Lutheran Congregations, (2) the community needs of Wake County, (3) global ministries, and (4) students of Lutheran colleges and seminaries.  Annual disbursements of the income generated by the Fund are made each Spring by the Endowment Committee.  Congregation members recommend and nominate organizations and qualifying people for the annual gifts.

Endowment Fund disbursement request

The Endowment Committee asks that CTK members prayerfully consider contributing to the Fund.  As faithful stewards of God's gifts, we need to manage our accumulated, inherited and appreciated resources.  Gifts to the Endowment Fund can be an excellent way to honor or remember a loved one in a perpetual manner.  To better understand how CTK members can serve the needs of others in the community, through our Endowment Fund, please contact an Endowment Committee member or email endowment@christthekingcary.org.  Members of the Endowment Committee are Jon Austin, Nancy Bremmer (Chair), Gwen Adams, David Calloway, Bob Kattman, and Al Port.

"Thank you so much to our generous benefactors at Christ the King Lutheran Church. The Packin’ Snacks program provided the PLM Families Together After-School program with snacks from October 2009 through May 2010.  Fifty-eight children from seventeen different families were able to enjoy these treats - much needed fuel for homework time and outside play! They were definitely the most greatly anticipated surprise every day at After-School. Thank you so much!"  – Elisabeth, PLM-FT After-School Program Director
