First Full Day Highlights!

Salt & Light: Day One Our first full day of Salt and Light is in the books!  Here is what it included:  Pancake Breakfast made by Gabi and Nicole! Worship led by Mally including a skit about stepping out of our comfort zones and not being boat potatoes.  We were thankful for Buck who played guitar! Painted four wooden play sets with the help of Jim McDonald and Craig Madsen.  We were able to meet the families of PLM-Families Together and their Child Advocate, Hannah.  We even enjoyed some ice cream and lunch in the heat with the families. We made salt shaker candles during Bible Study and did skits with Jesus and Peter walking on water as Ballerinas, Babies and Kings/Queens.  Our evening was filled with lots of games including Oreo Hockey, Telephone Pictionary and Fish Bowl. We moved to more team building with the Hula Hoop and Trust Walks.  Free time dance par ... Read the rest of entry »

Gabriella -- I thought that today and the rest of the week would be boring but today was actually fun. Today we painted a playgorund at PLM's apartments for the homeless. I got very into it and have the paint marks all over to show it. I feel that this week should be fun and make me feel good about helping people and serving God. Christ the King has been working with PLM Families Together for a long time now and we were overjoyed to continue ... Read the rest of entry »
