Book Club
The book club meets the third Thursday of each month in the Luther Café. Each month, the group gathers to discuss a book that refreshes, encourages and enriches their faith. Email Judy Helm with questions or check out the monthly Courier newsletter to find the current book.
Knit Witnesses
The Knit Witnesses, Knit Wits for short, knit and crochet shawls to comfort those who are hurting, lap robes for local residents at nursing homes, baby blankets and caps, chemo caps and other projects. Knit Wits meet the first Tuesday and second Thursday at 10 am in 211.
Lutheran Ladies Luncheon
Once a month, women gather at a local restaurant for conversation and fellowship. This group meets on the fourth Thursday of the month at 11:30 am. Check the bulletin for the name and location of the restaurant. For more opportunities to gather with women, check out our Women of the ELCA chapter.
Quilters
The quilters make beautiful, colorful quilts that are given to local families through PLM-Families Together and to people in need around the world through Lutheran World Relief. Quilters meet the first Wednesday from 1-3 pm and the third Sunday from 2-4 pm.
Travelers
Pastor Emeritus John R. Nagle and his wife, Lanie, lead trips for CTK members several times a year. Recent destinations include Alaska, Mexico’s Copper Canyon, Israel and Egypt. For more information, email jrnagle@nc.rr.com.
Wisdom Club
On the second Wednesday of every month, join CTK’s “older and wiser” members for a time of fellowship. Monthly activities include short trips and tours, and potluck lunches at CTK.
