Grieving can be lonely, but you are NOT alone. God is ever present and your faith family is here to sit with you as you grieve. Christ the King offers resources for those who are grieving.
GriefShare: GriefShare is a 13-week combined class, discussion and support group to walk with you through grief. The group generally meets on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30pm in the parlor. Each GriefShare Session includes a video seminar and group discussion. You will also receive a participant workbook. Session Topics are: Living with Grief, The Journey of Grief, The Effects of Grief, When Your Spouse Dies, Your Family and Grief, Why?, The Uniqueness of Grief, God's Prescription for Grief, Stuck in Grief, Top 20 Lessons of Grief and Heaven.
Grief Books: Grieving is truly a journey. After a death of a friend and/or family member, we want to offer a set of books to help you in your journey. Prayer Shawls are also available. These handmade shawls are knit with love and serve as a tangible reminder that God is with us, even in the midst of difficult times. Email knitwits@christthekingcary.org if you are interested in a prayer shawl. Kids and Adult shawls are available.
