In the spirit of Martin Luther, Christ the King supports and values music and realizes its importance in worship. Music is central to the life of our congregation. Different styles of Lutheran worship music are offered each Sunday at all services.
Music Scholarship: Every year, we offer a $750 music scholarship to a church member with an abiding love for music who is hindered by financial need in furthering their music development. Applications are due by Nov. 15 of each year. If interested, applications are available on the Internal portion of this website. Use your login id and password to gain access to the application.
Adult Senior Choir: Dr. Sally Molyneux, director – sallym@terradotta.com
The Senior Choir sings at one of the traditional worship services each week, except during summer months. Rehearsals are every Wednesday at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary. Every two to three years, Dr. Molyneux organizes an overseas choir tour. The choir sings a Cantata twice a year and puts on an annual Madrigal Dinner. Mike Harris is the choir accompanist and the church organist. New members are welcome to join or just visit at any time.

Each Sunday, a different Worship Team leads the congregation in song. The Youth Band also plays one Sunday per month, giving our middle school and high school youth an opportunity to help lead worship. Each Worship Team has its own rehearsal schedule. This choir of 6th-12th grade young men and women rehearses on Sunday evenings before the weekly youth group activities. Middle-schoolers and high-schoolers are welcome to join this choir at any time.
