Christian Education Committee

The Christian Education committee recruits and trains the teaching staff, maintains computerized tracking of library and audio-visual aids, selects and orders teaching materials, oversees Bible study emphasis and encourages careers in ministry.

Opportunities for Ministry

Charter

This committee shall:

  1. annually appoint the Sunday School Superintendent and assist him/her in the supervision of the Sunday School, provide the most suitable materials for instruction of Sunday School pupils, assist in maintaining an adequate teaching staff and, in general, do all that is possible to teach the Word of God;
  2. foster and encourage a program of in-service teacher training for the purpose of maintaining a high level of instructional competence among the members of the Sunday School staff;
  3. encourage the development of a Bible class program in the congregation and do all that is possible to increase the participation of the congregation in organized Bible study;
  4. seek to introduce the church's periodicals and books of family devotion into the homes of the congregation;
  5. initiate, maintain and improve a church library which particularly contains resources and materials helpful to teachers and administrative personal in the congregation;
  6. initiate, maintain and improve an audio-visual aids library in the congregation; and
  7. bring the call to the ministry of the Gospel and to other full-time church vocations to the attention of qualified youth of the congregation.
