Endowment Committee

Gifts from God enable us to annually support the mission of our Church and other community programs. As faithful stewards of God's gifts, we are also reminded of the need to manage our accumulated, inherited and appreciated resources. In 1993, the Congregation identified a need to encourage, receive and administer undesignated gifts in a perpetual manner that is consistent with the loyalty and devotion of our Lord and as expressed by grantors. Thus, an Endowment Fund and a custodial committee were established in accord with the policies of the Congregation.

Purpose

The purpose of the Fund is to enhance the mission and outreach of Christ the King apart from the general operation of the Congregation. The Fund may be used to: Help other new Lutheran churches as they get started Meet community needs in Wake County Aid global ministries and other ELCA ministry projects Provide financial assistance for individuals studying at Lutheran colleges or seminaries for Lutheran Church vocations Benefit other specific purposes that are consistent with the general purposes of the Fund.
