Parish Life

The Parish Life committee prepares and delivers meals, plans and prepares receptions, encourages the atmosphere of friendliness, including physical and fellowship needs of the congregation, plans dinners, picnics, coffee hours and social functions and helps with integration of new members into congregational life.

Opportunities for Ministry

Charter

This committee shall see to the physical needs and fellowship of the congregation and conduct events to strengthen family life of the congregation and its members. The committee's responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to:

  1. planning for and encouraging family prayers, devotions and Bible studies, and conducting events to strengthen the family life of the congregation and its members;
  2. ensuring that meals are provided when appropriate to shut-ins, new parents, those recovering from illness or following hospitalization, those who have lost a member of the immediate family, and others in need;
  3. planning and conducting receptions for new members and other special events;
  4. planning for and carrying out congregation dinners, picnics, coffee hours and social functions
  5. being responsible for the integration of new members and reviewing the progress made by all new members six months after they have joined the congregation; and
  6. at all times being conscious of "the atmosphere of friendliness of the congregation" and suggest ways and means of improving the same.
