Worship the LORD with gladness; come into his presence with singing. – Psalm 100:2
Worship is an essential part of what it means to be human. Even to be awed at a sunset or a majestic mountain is a hint at what is at the core of our being. For the Christian, worship of God is the dynamic center of a faithful life.
Because worship is central to the Christian life, Christ the King provides worship in both classic liturgical and free praise styles on Sunday and during the week. In our worship, we gather as family to hear the Word proclaimed, to celebrate the sacraments and to gain strength to go into the world as servants. In all our worship services, we seek the gifts of God that we may worship in spirit and truth.

Sunday Worship is the primary worship event of the week and is celebrated at 8:30 and 11 am. Two worship styles are offered at both times: a classic liturgical worship that features hymns, choirs and organ music; and our contemporary praise service, which features contemporary Christian songs and instruments.
8:30 and 11 am – Traditional Worship in the Sanctuary
8:30 and 11 am – Contemporary Worship in Nagle Hall
In addition to these regularly scheduled worship services, there are a variety of worship events and opportunities that occur throughout the year. Click here to find out what special worship services are planned in the current liturgical season.
Children are welcome in our worship services, but we also offer a nursery for children ages 0-3. We celebrate children as a significant part of our congregation. We delight in their presence among us. Children are welcome to stay for entire worship services; however, opportunities for smaller children are offered. Check out the Children in Worship page for more information.
Music is a very important part of our worship life. Click here for information about music ministries at Christ the King.
