About Us

Since 1963, we have grown to a congregation of over 1700 members. We are a blend of longtime Cary residents and Triangle newcomers, singles of all ages, and families of all shapes. We are young and old brought together by our common desire to strengthen our relationship with God through Word and Sacrament.

More detailed history of our church.

Above all else, we believe that we are saved from the grip of sin and death by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord.

Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live. - John 11:25

Who We Are As Members Of The ELCA

We enjoy affiliation with the largest Lutheran body in North America, 5 million members in 10,000 congregations. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America supports mission work at home and abroad, seminaries where our pastors are prepared for ministry, world hunger relief, and social services of many kinds.

In everything do to others as you would have them do unto you; for this is the law and the prophets. - Matthew 7:12

Who We Are As Lutherans

We trace our history to the 16th century priest Martin Luther, the great church reformer. Luther believed that the Holy Scriptures should be available to all people, a revolutionary idea in his time. He translated the Bible into everyday German so that more people could learn for themselves about God's gift of salvation for his children.

For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. - Ephesians 2:8
